The company Acer introduced a new generation of the world’s of ultra and the world’s thinnest portable computer – Swift 7.
Acer Swift 7 is surprisingly light (less than 1 kg), slim (less than 1 cm) and has extremely small frames around the screen, which gives it an incredible 92% ratio between the screen and the hinged lid. In addition, the newcomer is 15% smaller than its predecessor.
For comparison, the Huawei MateBook X Pro has a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio that it achieves by hiding a webcam inside its keyboard. It’s unclear whether Swift 7 has a webcam, Acer did not mention it. The company says, that it was possible to reduce the dimensions and weight of Swift 7, using materials such as magnesium and lithium, but did not go into details.
Swift 7 – this is not a toy vehichle, like netbooks of yesteryear. It has a 14-inch display and a 5-watt Intel Core i7 processor of the 8th generation, although other specifications were omitted from the presentation. Information about the price and release date has not been announced yet.
