Wow. Ever heard of other countries that don’t use QWERTY?
February 13th, 2010 at 1:24 am
Definitely. QWERTY or we won’t buy the phone.

I shouldn’t even bother, but all you morons complaining about the AZERTY keyboards are just showing your ignorance:
AZERTY is a keyboard layout used in some countries. This cell phone would come out in an AZERTY version in those countries, and in a QWERTY version in those that don’t.
That would be the case if this cell phone happens to ever be produced, because, you see, IT’S ONLY A CONCEPT.

QWERTY is one of the worst keyboard layouts. It was designed to slow typists down so they wouldn’t continuously jam TYPEWRITERS. Computer keyboards NEVER jam, so we should move on to a much faster keyboard layout such as Dvorak.

You people clamoring for QWERTY do know that it was invented and designed specifically to be one of the slowest possible layouts?
It was needed AT THE TIME because early typewriters could jam if people went too fast. So I say down with qwerty.

QWERTY was not made to be slow. Ever. This continually-perpetuated myth has no basis in reality.
QWERTY because the industry standard because back when several companies were vying for typewriter dominance, the person demoing QWERTY in a competition managed to type .3 WPM *faster* than all other keyboard layouts – up around 90 WPM.

everyone is used to qwerty

QWERTY is actually really inefficient and the Dvorak has been found to be a lot more efficient when learned.

Yet another magical phone with a removable screen. How does the screen get power when its removed? Who knows? How does the screen get information from the phone when its disconnected?
