So the guy goes as great grandma why she cuts almost half the turkey wasting so much meat and the old lady finally tells him that back in the day she didn't have a big enough pan, so had to cut a big piece of the turkey so it would fit in what she had! The actual newspaper (classic) format is horrible... but it was what we had back in the day. I believe the main goal of technology is to improve things and make them more practical, not immitate and old thing in a new way! Kinda like cutting half the turkey when a big enough pan would be easily available. I'm very confortable reading newspapers on my ipad or iphone, I would never carry around this akward e-paper just to pretend I'm reading a newspaper the old style!
