Kettle- is a green adventurer’s fantasy !

The Hydrogen Kettle by industrial designer Matthew Smith is what camping enthusiasts might be looking for. This domestic kettle has been designed for use in the year 2100 and is powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The hydrogen cartridges are slotted into the center and the base of the kettle, where hydrogen is converted into electricity by fuel cells.

Industrial designer Matthew Smith is working to reduce our dependence on non-renewable forms of energy to power our electronic gear. Since these gadgets are a part of mostly everybody’s life, the total electricity required to keep them ticking is substantial. Matthew is providing solutions by designing gadgets that can be powered by renewable forms of energy, such as kinetic energy.

LG/be – Phone Concept Concept for the “Design the Future” contest put on by LG. LG asked people to design something that could be done in the next 2 or 3 years with today’s or near future technology.

Concept future phone: The PCOD (Personal Communications and Organization Device).
This device combines – smart phone (with video calling), camera, GPS, mp3 player,
storage (for photos, files etc.), time/date/calendar, games, app’s and much more.
The PCOD would also come with changeable holder/straps in various colors and designs -
and the screen wallpaper can be changed to match the chosen holder.

Yesterday we covered the Bricell Jewelry Phone in the blog, and now it’s time for another stylish gadget to tickle the trendy users. Conceived by Brazilian designer Dinard da Mata, the “Fluid” is a smartphone concept that as suggested by its name features a flexible OLED display to allow better mobility and ease of use. Designed for Philips, the mobile phone wraps around the wrist to become a bracelet for the fashionable, while gives an easy access on the go.

Eco-friendly concept device harnesses kinetic energy.
The Touchpot is an eco-friendly artificial plant pot that harnesses kinetic energy whenever its artificial leaves are moved by hand or by the wind. Designed by Aydan Design, the concept features leaves that can be rotated and moved in any direction. The leaves respond to human touch by harnessing the tiny amount of energy that will be generated during the process.
