Dutch studio Roosegaarde presented stunning bicycle lane backlit. The surface of the track is covered with paint, which uses the energy stored during the day to shine after dark. The inspiration for the designs drawing served as the painting “Starry Night” by the artist Van Gogh.
The route goes through the cycle paths of the Dutch province of North Brabant, where the artist was born and raised. Plot length of 1 kilometer looks incredibly beautiful and poetic,light of the millions of lights in the dark. Along the edges of the road located tiny solar panel, and in some areas the way the LEDs are installed – this safety net in the event if the weather was too cloudy. This method of lighting is pleasing to the eye and blends in harmoniously with the environment. Earlier Roosegaarde together with studio Heijmans Infrastructure presented the world’s first intelligent way, which gives information about the situation on the freeway.
