This year, several companies presented the concepts of their future electric cars. The developers from Italy did not fall behind the general trend either. Together with students from the course of transport design of the European Design Institute (IED from Turin),also designers of the Pininfarina studio and the editorial staff of the popular Italian automobile magazine Quattroruote was presented a model of the future automotive industry of Italy – Scilla.
The concept car, according to the creative team, is what awaits Italy in 2030. In terms of size,Scilla can compared with a sports car Ferrari 488, but with an even lower landing. Each individual wheel is driven by an individual electric motor with semi-autonomous functions. The streamlined form of the body and the method of landing passengers pushes an analogy with a jet fighter.
The author’s team did not disclose any technical nuances, so Scilla’s avant-garde concept is likely to remain only a vision the car of the future without a subsequent commercial launch in the format of a real electric vehicle. But you can dream!
