The next iPhone will mark the 10 year anniversary of the device’s debut, and the rumors about what it’ll look like are crazier and more outlandish. One of the wildest ones — that the iPhone 8 will be transparent.
Apple is probably never going to build anything remotely like it, but the very idea of a transparent iPhone does make for exciting conceptual artwork.
what prompted designers Curve to envision a transparent iPhone that could provide an unobstructed view into its innards.
But unlike previous transparent iPhone 8 concept renderings, this one looks far more realistic due to the fact, that it’s truly transparent — you can actually see the inner components of the device. From the processor chip (an A11), to the Taptic Engine, and before the battery. Curved Labs gave the device a look reminiscent of the iMAC DV Special Edition, which was released back in the year 2000.
Yes, hardware geeks would love this, but most people don’t want to look at the clunky electronic innards making their smartphones work. Most prefer a little design-assisted tech mystery. But if Apple ever decided to give us this futuristic throwback iPhone look, this is probably very close to what it would look like.
How do you like these conceptual renderings? Would you buy a transparent iPhone model if Apple built it? I certainly would!
