This design proposal for the Apple car makes your idea of a motor vehicle obsolete; Just like the American tech company did with the 3.5 mm jack in their latest iPhone – or the buttons in the original.
A designer from Istanbul foresees that Apple would move towards sharper edges in the year 2026 and iterate one the aesthetic after that. Ali’s Apple car has a swindling simplicity. The car’s profile has a sharp wedge while the front end resembles a computer mouse. The minimal shape disguises all the impressive details. The doors open in dual sections. A hardly visible smooth top slides upwards and reverse hinge body sways out similar to the Rolls Royce Wraith. The door handles are replaced by door sensors for recognizing the owner.or Apple’s centenary, 60 years from now, this bold project follows one of the late Steve Jobs’ mantras, namely focusing on simplicity and minimalism.
The study dramatically alters the basic concept of what we currently perceive as a car by adopting advanced driving systems, including a magnetic field-animated powertrain that uses the maglev (magnetic levitation) principle to create both lift and propulsion.
That means there aren’t any wheels, batteries or engines/motors to take up space, offering the occupants a technological lounge at their disposal. The study does, however, have a separate “easy luggage access” boot, technically making it a sedan).
The vehicle’s cabin opens via a touch ID sensor, while the interior itself is packed full of Apple’s technology, including gesture control. It also comes with smart glass tech, in which light transmission properties are altered when voltage is applied, changing it from translucent to transparent. A holographic display is in the middle for running the apps.
Naturally, the vehicle is fully autonomous; remember, this is 2076 we’re talking about. No matter what the Apple car might look like then, or if it will even exist, it’s a dead cert that humans will not be the ones doing the driving.
